Another full-game drama played out for the 52,113 fans at the Classic.
Actually, it was a full game – and then some.
At the end of regulation time, the two teams had battled to a high-scoring tie. In the first overtime, missed opportunities paved the way for a final JSU field goal that sealed the victory in the second extra period.
Jackson State’s Brian Reynolds finally put the game away.
However, it was an up and down affair for fans all night, one of the most exciting games in the
Classic’s history. JSU lead 20-0 in the first half. By the fourth quarter, TSU had taken the lead.
It was a Classic to remember.
