TSU’s quarterback Daryl Williams threw for two fourth-quarter touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough.
His JSU counterpart, Grailyn Pratt, completed 16 of 23 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns. The JSU run-and-shoot offense was too much for Tennessee State on this night before a crowd of 48,533.
Pratt also ran for 79 yards as he kept the TSU defense off balance. A good example came with just under three minutes left in the second quarter. Pratt found 19 yards on a third-and-4 play, setting up a touchdown pass with 12 seconds left in the half.
Williams ended with a 12-for-28 completion rate for 138 yards, but he also was stymied by three interceptions.
